Matt's 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback was painstakingly widened 4 inches, by Best of Show Coachworks, and every body panel tweaked to create a subtle yet aggressive look.



It's powered by a Coyote Boss 302 (with the Cobra Jet intake, headers, camshafts and a custom ram-air intake) mated a Tremec TR6060 6-speed manual transmission.



It rides on a Detroit Speed complete subframe front suspension (with Detroit Speed's custom tubular control arms, spindles, splined sway bars, & rack-and-pinion steering) and Mike Maier Inc. rear suspension (with Mike's MOD2 Torque-arm system surrounded by a full-floater 9? rear end).



It features JRi coilovers, StopTech brakes, and 315/30R18 BFG Rival S tires.



She sits on 18x11 Forgeline GZ3R wheels finished with Matte Graphite centers, Brushed outers, and our optional Bolt-on Competition Center Cap.

It's a '67 Fastback Mustang, of course! This build took years to get perfect and features a 427 SBF Man Of War built by Bill Mitchell racing engines.

She also features a TKO600 transmission!



Eleanor stops on a dime with her 9 inch rear Wilwood 4 wheel disk brakes.



This build also has Total Conrol Products (TCP) suspension.



Nicolas Cage would be jealous of the full custom leather interior!

Story: Well It all started in March 22 2014, When I went over to Watsonville, California to pick up my first car. Funny thing is it didn't really look like a car, but a piece of scrap. Which was convincing my father that this car had no hope, and no matter what he said, I didnt pay attention to him and I still got the car, knowing nothing, but the fact that I will have to do a lot of work to it. From there on it was no going back, so I did what I had to do and just work hard to finish my build quicker and pretty much prove him wrong that this car actually has some hope to get restored. As you can see I proved him wrong and manage to make one of my Dream cars come to Life.

From Paul: "Here is a little info on my 1966 Mustang... the car has its original A code 289 4 barrel which was totally rebuilt form block, it has factory disc brakes and power steering along with deluxe pony interior. According to vin # everything matches.

The Mustang was built in December 15, 1965 in San Jose and sold by an LA dealership where it spent 16 yrs of its life, then it was brought to Michigan where it sat for 22 yrs waiting to get restored. Unfortunately the owner passed away and the son sold it to a gentleman in Sault St. Marie Ontario, Canada. He had it for a few years, then I bought it from him and restored it to what you see." My mustang is originally a Gold 1965 base mustang inline 6 200ci. My father bought it for me when i was 13 years old (June of 2000) to learn how to work on cars(to be honest drugs would have been cheaper). I drove it for a few years and when i was 18 years old a girl hit me at 55 mph when i was sitting still. Basically totaled the car. i kept the car vs getting a insurance payout and started rebuilding. i put a 5.0HO , 8" rearend and a stock T5 in it took me 3 years and on my 21st birthday i drove it.

The motor lasted about 3 years of abuse before it gave out. i decided that i was going to build the car the right way so i sat down and made a parts list. piece by piece i started buying for 5 years and in the last 2 years i assembled all of the parts. i do not have any sponsors i have paid for my car part by part. i do represent multiple companies but that is because i like the products not because I'm paid to do so.

My dad told me something along time ago that stuck with me and helped me focus on what is important when building classic cars "make sure it runs good, because shiny cars still look great broken down on the side of the road"
